Interview Tips
ESSENTIAL PREPARATION
1. Ensure that you are confident about the job title and
what is required for the position.
2. Ensure that you have looked at the company website and noted key information
about the company - such as their product range, company
size, number of locations, current vacancies, type of work they do, whether they
a market leader, and so on - this information can then
be referred to during the interview.
3. Take the company address and telephone number with you, just in case you need
to contact the client should you have difficulty locating
the address.
4. Decide on the best way to travel to the interview and how much time you need
to allow - although we will provide appropriate useful
links to travel websites, we recommend you satisfy yourself.
5. Ensure that you consider how you will answer questions about your CV - make
sure your reasoning is sound and logical.
PRIOR TO THE INTERVIEW
Your Consultant will have provided you (wherever possible) with:
A letter confirming the full address, date and time, interviewers' names
and job title
A copy of the full job description
Details of salary range together with bonus/commission/company benefits
Company website address
Map/Travel Directions
An overview of the working environment and facilities available onsite
We strongly advise YOU to:
To do a "dummy run" from home to the company the night before
so you know exactly where it is located.
Write some questions on a neat/clean writing pad to take into the interview
with you, as this will show that you have prepared and you will
not forget the questions that are important to you.
Think of questions that relate to the job and the company/people you will
be working with.
Think about the questions you may be asked concerning the role and your
previous experience.
How you present yourself is important: dress smart, be clean and tidy, smile when
you meet the interviewer, give a good handshake, and maintain eye contact.
